The third wave of Skylanders Trap Team has been revealed, it will include three new Trap Masters, 4 new Core Skylanders, 3 new Minis and eight new Traps. No specific dates were given.

Time for some wild speculation: Unlike the first two waves it is probable that this "wave" will be split apart and have each grouping release at slightly different times. The ongoing Frito-Lay High Five giveaway means that the Core Skylanders are not likely to be released until early next year but the Trap Masters and Traps are under no such restrictions and could be released earlier than that. Check out the full breakdown of what will be in the retailer's boxes including the restocks of already released characters.

And since they haven't been posted to the front page (keep an eye on the forums for the latest goings on!), some reminders about other recent and upcoming releases:

The new Legendary items at Toys R Us, including the Micro Comics with exclusive Legendary Traps, are currently in the middle of being released. Legendary Deja Vu and the Legendary Deja Vu comic were released yesterday, the Legendary Blades comic will be on Sunday, and the Legendary Jawbreaker comic a week later on the 16th of November.

The first two of the Eon's Elite collection, Elite Spyro and Elite Chop Chop, became available at GameStop this past weekend and the next one has been announced as Elite Trigger Happy, he'll go on sale at the end of the month on the 28th.

And finally, the 8 Pack of Traps with the variant villain Steamed Broccoli Guy is apparently due for release very soon at Target (with reports of sightings already coming in).

If this comes out before christmas more presents I guess but nice find Dark! Beings that I have traps for each element beside light/dark I wont have to get traps so £115 isn't bad

It's a shame how Elite Spyro is the first Spyro model, just repainted. Still cool how they at least include him as a somewhat important character in the game(s).

I'm not surprised that the fire minis are being released in wave 3. Small Fry was just released on Lost Island either Monday or yesterday. So I was assuming we'd be hearing about wave 3 dinner rather than later and that the mini pack with Small Ferry and Weeruptor.

Keep in mind that the Eon's Elite Skylanders are 3x more powerful when played in Trap Team compared to their regular versions. Eon's Elite Chop Chop has almost 1000 HP at level 1 and Spyro too. Having these really help in Nightmare mode.

Just wish they'd release the new elements already.

I think the eon elites is a cool idea. Especially to connect Trap Team to its smilie root. Hopefully they make an elite smilie too.

We can't find the Micro fun packs either! That is so bad! But the first magic and life for us will be awesome! We have all the Trap Masters that we CAN get, here in Perth! smilie smilie (dark smilie too) smilie (legendary smilie too) smilie smilie smilie and these are all the ones we have seen here in Perth, Australia. No Lob star, yet, No Gear Shift, no idea where she is, No Bush Whack, coming soon (I was told by a guy at EB Games), and No others that you guys might have! Oh well! We will keep waiting!... New EON'S ELITE!! CANT WAIT FOR TRIG AND WHIRLWIND! smilie

Oh yeah, ANOTHER thing... We saw a Fryno and Small Fry buddy pack the other day! It looked awesome, but Buddy packs are pointless, cause you can only get minis in 2's so you will end up with 2 Small Frys.

On myskylanders.de (a German Skylanders fan site), they list the date for Wave 3 on 12/12/2014. Not sure if it's Europe, or the US, it does give us some sort of clue as for the release date.

Ghost Roaster told me that they're going to do a limited release on 12/14. General release will be early January (part 1) and later January (part 2).
The only thing I don't know, on the limited release, is if everything will be out or just Traps, Trap Masters & Minis. I'm hoping everything, so I can get the cores, Traps & Trap Masters. Minis could wait, since it seems like they make lots of them.

Tell me about it. The wait is driving me mad. I'm so close to getting this game done, with 69% complete.
Just need a Magic Trap Master, the light & dark element expansion packs, as well as the 3 light/3 dark traps to finish.
The only thing is to complete the last challenge in the Quicksand Coliseum. Then I can resume Lego Batman 3, or do Bioshock Infinite: The Complete Collection

I don't know about elite Trigger Happy, but elite Whirlwind and the Fire mini pack (Small Fry and Weeruptor) were part of wave 3. I just got the fire mini pack today actually at my local Toys R Us.

We received the new Wave 3 trap masters, the minis, and Trail Blazer and Cobra Cadabra at the Target store that I work at. I still haven't seen High Five, Bat Spin, triple packs or the expansion packs yet but hopefully soon.

Really liking High Five and Trail Blazer, I tend to like the animal-like skylanders.

Also liking Tuff Luck and Bat Spin's designs. And I love all the minis. Doubt i'll be able to get any of these soon though smilie Or at all for that matter.

I havn't even gotten trap team yet, as usual I'm probably not gonna complete my collection for trap team just like my other 3 games, although i did pretty good with ssa, but from giants onward i'm not even close to having them all.

I really want to get Trail Blazer. He looks so cool. Cobra Cadabra looks kind of cool too. I was tempted to get both when my Target store got them. I'll probably want though to get the trips packs if I can find them when they come out. I remember last year I never found the final one that had Rip Tide, Prism Break and maybe Whirlwind? I ended up buying all three together when Best Buy had Buy Two Get One Free.

Since Target has another exclusive coming out sortie soon I wonder if that means that Legendary Bushwhack will be coming soon to Toys R Us too.
