As retailers are beginning to list pre-orders for the figures so too are they posting pre-orders for their exclusive alternate versions of characters. The first two that have been sighted are Fiesta and Smash Hit.
There have also been mentions of a few other variants but no images have been found for them just yet.
In other news, the complete Achievement list for the game has been revealed by XboxAchievements, obviously if you wish to avoid spoilers for the story then it's probably not all that wise to read them. In what is a quite sensible move, despite the existence of the recently shown off online mode none of the achievements appear to be related of it (although you can perhaps earn the single co-op achievement using the brand new online co-op mode).

I will get them and skip getting their original versions. But still, I will get their Crypt Crusher and Thump Truck to go with them. Come to think of it, they should also do more of the Alt Deco Vehicles (not just the Dark ones and the Golden Hot Streak).

Ugh... Another legendary jet vac... I would have preferred gill grunt, at least there isn't already a legendary of him.
Jet Vac was an absolute waste of the Legendary spot. He isn't very popular at all, so why waste a spot that could be given to a new Supercharger, or at least to a character who doesn't have one already, like Roller Brawl or, dare I say, Terrafin?

I totally agree. He already had a legendary counterpart three years ago. Roller Brawl and Terrafin would've been the way to go as they both never had an alter-ego.

Oh yeah, Gill Grunt is a perfectly good example of what to make an alter-ego of. He had five reposes in each of the five games, an Eon's elite, and a mini form. Why in the world has Activision never gave him one?
