The long awaited complete overhaul of the mobile game Skylanders Ring of Heroes has finally gone live today, bringing with it the new turn based combat system.
The scale of the changes has meant that all progress has been reset, so you'll have to start building your teams all over again. If you played the game's previous version then you will receive a one time gem reward based on your Portal Master Level.

Also, the first time launching the game has a reward of one Legendary Summon that's not Dark or Light. Read the instructions CAREFULLY, you can reset that summon up to 30 times for free(you don't need to spend 500 more) but if you take the first one, it's gone forever.
I like the over hall, and come 2 us does a good job at showering players with gems as hush money, but I will admit the progress was a total shock in the heat of the moment. None the less it's still not too big of a deal, and a fair trade off for the new version of the game.
Liking the updated game so far. Looks great and plays better. Miss all of my op characters.
Wait so who are these new anime kids I'm seeing all of a sudden?
Supposed to be portal master avatars. The concept of the story is that portal masters, aka *you, were sent to skylands through a portal rift.
their backgrounds are endearing, but poorly written. their bios on the skylanders wiki are taken straight from the game with little other editing that i can see

their artstyle begs the question: we got a skylanders cartoon, now when do we get a skylanders anime? /s

When it's a "biography" rather than "story/game plot", we have to get it wholesale from the source, Wiki rules - this is why only the Skylanders with full extended backstories like Ignitor have beeg text, even if some like Pop Fizz got new info. That said, someone fixed the grammar on Ryeo, though we can't decode whatever the hell happened on the second paragraph to fully fix it up.
it totally makes sense that you're taking it straight from the source! i was trying to explain that the typos are present in the game and not the fault of the wiki editors, but i think i did a bad job of that : /
you all are doing good work!
