Kotaku brings us the first actual footage of the Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure from this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
The video focuses on the process involved with using the unique Portal of Power for the 3DS as it works a little differently than on the consoles.

Yes. And in some areas, 2004.

Good for someone putting effort into the 3DS version to look like the home console version but I still find it awkward aiming a 3DS to a specific object and putting toys in it. Why couldn't be easier to just find characters within the game like finding summons in Final Fantasy games instead of going to a shop and hoping they have the specific object so you can spend your money.
Good help those Achievement/Trophy addicts.

You just described the AR games on the system.

Well it would still feel awkward. Do you think the object you the toys on have to be plugged onto the home consoles? Wonder if the object will be multi-compatible or will there be format-specific versions?

From what I can gather, the object is multi-compatible. Though there isn't much use for plugging it into a system when you don't have the disc for it.
