This week has seen a few new articles on the Nintendo 3DS version of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. First up is a post on USA Today which has a couple of images, then there's a preview at Nintendojo with a couple more screenshots.

And finally COIN-OP.TV have a video featuring the Lead Designer of the 3DS version, Jonathan Mintz.

Dark Spyro's attack looks so awesome! I wish I could get him, but I'm getting the PC version. Oh well.

Expand the Skylanders universe? Doesn't he mean the Spyro universe? Is this game about Spyro or is it the Skylanders? I know it's technically both but if a sequel was to be made, would it be called Skylanders 2?

Am I the only one getting this "Raving Rabbids" vibe over here?

It would be called Skylanders 2, while Spyro would probably go on to continue his own franchise.

That's most likely what would happen. Spyro for the most part is there to help bring some sort of awareness to Skylanders. Without him, the game probably wouldn't be getting the hype that it does, seeing how most critics find it to be Spyro's return, rather than simply Skylanders.

hey u know at toys r us u can buy the action figures by themselfs, so u can buy dark spyro

and play him smilie (\_/)

Isn't Dark Spyro only available in the 3DS Starter Pack?

Dark Spyro is exclusive to the 3DS version.
