I thought the game would be E... huh.
Okay im waitin! Better worth buyin em!
lol, I am actually looking forward to this more because I just heard some of the Skylnader's voices and got a little idea of some of their personalities! X3
I think I like the choice of Spyro's voice lol, but I wasn't really expecting that for Trigger Happy though. I like Terrafin and Eruptor's voices though, that was rather funny.

I personally love his voice. He sounds a lot like he did the the Classics. <3
I hated his TLoS voice. He sounds squeaky, boring, and depressed all the time. It was real annoying, in my opinion.

Soren, no, just no...

Yeah, it sounds kinda like the Tom Kenny version. And Zook sounds like Sgt. Byrd...

Is it just me or are clouds in the Skylands made of sugar? I say thus because most of these Skylanders are so loud and talkative! Spyro or not, this game, by itself, is going to be annoying.
I think I preferred it when they didn't talk.
They did say a while ago that the Skylanders will talk...
Still preferred it when they were silent. My ears....

This.
They sound kind of annoying. But Spyro and Trigger Happy's voices are just all wrong. They don't suit the charcaters at all.

You can simply mute the character voices (if that's even possible) or just mute the whole game.
They're not bad enough for me to want to mute the game (never had that happen before). I just thought they would be better, seeing as they said it would of voice acting that was as good in quality as the last game.
Actually, the devs recently confirmed that Spyro's voice in the Blow It Up ad is his official voice for the game.
Spyro's voice is probably the best out of all of them. Though I'm probably just saying that because he was talking less than everyone else and didn't annoy me.

That is my intention.

Funny how some fans wanted Spyro to talk in this game, and now some find his talking voice annoying and say that they like it better when he was growling.. <.<

I think you misread my post.
In IGN's first preview for Skylanders, one of the reps that were letting them see the game mentioned that the voice cast would have talent on par with the LoS voice cast.
I just don't think that's the case at all.

But Spyro's voice in the ad will be the same in the game.
.............I know. I only doubted that BEFORE it was confirmed. I never said he wouldn't have the commercial voice in THIS topic.
lol and now some fans are complaining about the voices when they wanted them to talk beforehand.

We heard Trigger Happy's and Gill Grunt's real voice in the game, in the commercials, they sound different.

I didn't want him to talk.
And my problem doesn't really lie in him talking, more than it does with the annoying voices other characters have.

There will also be actual voice acting from the inhabitants of Skylands.
WHERE ARE YOU GETTING ALL THIS INFORMATION?
One of the users here has been to the Nick SKylanders event and posted the information on here and Deviantart.
I'm really happy right now people are actually agreeing with me on what WILL suck in Skylanders.

You people honestly aren't saying Activision just instantly addressed the annoying voices are you?
They're not trying to put annoying voices in the game. They only confirmed that Spyro's voice in one of the ads is his official voice in the game.

Wow, I'm surprised that you, of all people, is calling his voice annoying. He sounds more like he did in the Classics. Isn't that good enough for a Classic fan like you?

ya spyro did sound like SUPER depressed all the time in TLOS ,,,,,lol!, but who is cynder?, i thought happy trigger would sound like, skabb in tlos but talking,, but realy???, oh well,,,,,,,hmph
I honestly don't see what all the surprisedness and gasps are about. Skylanders is a young kids' game, and that's what the voice acting and what not reflect. I trust the vast majority of you are aged between 14-20+ and as such you'd largely prefer Elijah Wood's more grown up voice acting over childish, "cutesy"/"cool" voices.
It was Activision's decision to take the franchise to a (much) more kid-friendly direction with this game - saying how Spyro doesn't fit in a mature world as if it were an undisputed fact - and you are now reaping the benefits or paying the price, depending on your opinion.
Me being older I was for one hoping for a game that would continue where DotD picked off. There were a lot of things they could've expanded on with the story: Spyro and Cynder were never given airtime as a couple, they never met up with the guardians, Sparx or Hunter; it's as if we only got to save the world and then have the series end before getting to enjoy our win.
But yes, there might be more money to be made with kids rather than the dwindling, mature fanbase who played the first Spyro games in their childhood; but then again, why not just create a new character since the kids wouldn't be familiar with Spyro either way?

^Um, no they wouldn't. More than half this site would choose original Spyro's voice over Elijah's.

I wanna know who plays Spyro's voice. Boomer's sounds familiar.

The old Spyro games were already kid-friendly but the atmosphere was changed too much throughout the years. A franchise is at it's best if it can appeal to fans young and old much like Mario had been for decades. I can understand modernizing a franchise but it have to retain it's old charm in order to maintain it's own identity but the Spyro series was handed to way so many different developers, they've forgot what exactly is the atmosphere of the Spyro universe. Music also plays an important role I'm going to a grudge against Hans Zimmer for that anymore (I did but that was just downright stupid) but that doesn't mean I miss hearing the kind of music Stewart Copeland makes.
I don't whether or not Spyro would belong to Activision forever. On one side, a lot of money can be pumped into a Spyro game and can be giving more press coverage, on the other, Bobby Kotcik.
