Wow! That looks awesome! This time, I am REALLY looking forward to the next game. And I hope it'll be my first Wii game that I can actually class as "Acceptably good". The cover usually attracts people, so I'm looking forward to seeing thousands of more fans when this hits the stores.
OMG! IT SAYS THE DATE ITS OUT! 28TH OCTOBER!
That cover is amazing
The cover looks awesome! But why does the release date say October 28, 2008? Isn't the real date the 8th of October, or is that Amazon's date that the game will be available on the site?
Amazons date is quite often (All the time ) the same date that it is actualy out. No offence.
But the real release date of the game will be on the 7th of October.
I think we can go with 28th of October as the release date for now but it doesn't truly matter until we get nearer the date anyway.
WOW! THIS GAME'S BOXART IS VERY COOL
YAY! it's awsome! best cover yet!
Yes, it is, Tango.
YAY! BOX ART!!! (I'm very happy )

Oh my god I love it! X3
What the HELL is Cynder breathing at though!? I certainly hope that isn't how the Dark Master is after his ressurection!
T_T I wonder why there's no PS3 box art though...
It appears that much like the previous years, the banner on Sierra's forum is indeed the new boxart. You can see them all (except PS3 for some reason) over on Amazon.com.

Cynder is breathing probably breathing Poison
My guess is not poison. I doubt they'd use green poison (unless a more appropriate name for the breath would be acid, and even the "acid ray" that Dark Spyro used is purple). >.>
Also, it looks very... better than the other two in my opinion. >.>

Eh?
It's definitely pretty alright, easily one to capture a mass crowd.
Yet, I couldn't help but think that the style of the boxart is a radical departure from the previous two legend arc titles, where Spyro was portrayed in a more artistic fashion, was the sole character ON the art, had one particular effect on screen (lightning and moonlight respectively for the previous two titles) and focused on one particular color shade. I feel curious as to why there had to be a complete change of artistic direction for this title's boxart, especially since it's Sierra that usually wears the trousers around here.

Awesome! This game is going to be the best So is it 0ct 7 (release date) or 28th?
The boxart looks amazing!!I just hope that isn't Malefor they're fighting.

I think it's another new enemy in the game, it's definitely NOT the Dark Master though since he's a purple dragon.

Though he can be black, Spyro has turned black, so...

Great box art!
Release dates. Since this is the 10th anniversary, will that be somewhat the worldwide release date?

Box art!!!!
Yes the box art does look better than I had originally thought, but experience has taught me to never judge a book by its cover. A good box art does not make a good game, it only enhances aesthetic appeal.
I shall wait for some more in-depth information regarding the actual gameplay and plot before I can consider this game worth purchasing.

I've noticed that some people make dragons with four claws. Hm...
Maybe it's just deformed. But, I mostly agree with you.

The dragons in Spyro have three, I should say.
Good call.

Blackholes_Wolf may not express reasons, but I can find more than enough reasons to explain why we could both have reservations on it.
1 - Color scheme is actually way too vibrant in comparison to other boxarts for the Legend arc. Sure, it may be a "dawn" of the dragon, but they didn't need to put THAT many shades on all at once.
2 - Spyro's representation is very similar to the concept paintings as done from Etranges Libellules. This is actually a far cry from the more abstract portrayals on the other two games' boxes.
3 - Spyro isn't alone. Nuff said.
4 - There's no thematic element involved. Surely if it's a "dawn" of the dragon, I would have suggested more of a reflective "starring out into the distance" shot rather than some generic action scene.
5 - Zerodius and I figured this one out together - the box portrays a gimmick to be used in the game (the free flight). None of the other games have done that, leaving us into a very thoughtful shroud of mystery. We as gamers LIKE the idea of mystery, expecting it to hit us square on the chest when we expect it the least.
That should be more than enough to state why most of us more mature followers may have reservations on the image used. I just hope the corny decision there purely doesn't reflect the effort that would end up being put into the game.

Yes, BUT!, in Spyro 3, there were two "fire dragons" that you had to fight in the Fireworks Factory, but that was the past series; this is the new one.
