For no particular reason other then I woke up this morning and decided to do this, I've added a comment system to each of the Games pages. I also fixed a few minor problems with the forums too and added a few new basic features. I also brought in a new avatar system. Completely optional of course, with the default as being off. Go to your Profile and click Edit Profile, there in the bottom box put in the web address of your desired picture, please go for a square picture of 100x100 dimensions as that is what it will be squashed to. The restrictions of this web hosting means that I can't upload pictures to host here, sorry. Use ImageShack or similar to host your avatar.
Also added this update are all of the text versions of my walkthroughs, just in case you feel like downloading the whole thing in one piece rather then several. They should be identical or newer then the versions at GameFAQs so don't worry about that. I will get around to finishing the Season of Flame guide, sometime.
Please let me know it you find something wrong or an error crops up.

It's hardly new, and that's where I got all the Japanese pictures of Spyro, Moneybags, Sparx, Bianca and Hunter from since the Japanese Season of Ice site disappeared from the real web a long time ago.
It also doesn't seem that the site saves Flash and tends to miss quite a few images, leaving the Flash version of the old site innaccessible. But thanks anyway.

The address for its Web Archive is
http://web.archive.org/web/20040416021327/http://www.konamistudio.com/universal/spyro_gba/
Annoyingly neither the Zoe or Grendor picture work correctly.
I got the original address off Mozepy's list of Spyro sites here:

Just wondering, how do you get your logo? Did someone make it for you, or did you find a font or something? I need to make one like that.
Nintendo.com finally changed the Spyro DS game listing name from "Spyro: Shadow Conspiracy" to "Spyro Shadow Legacy"
It only took them forever...especially when the logo they had said Shadow Legacy not Shadow Conspiracy!!!

Oh dear, another problem found, you shouldn't be able to put html code in the name box. EDIT: Fixed'D, hopefully.
But to answer your question, yes I did make the logo as such. It's the usual Spyro logo taken from the fansite kit, but the 'dark' part was written using a font called Boink LET which is very similar to the Spyro and Crash lettering. Then I just added some effects or whatever to make it look as close as possible.
EDIT: Shame Nintendo haven't added anything new though, they also missed correcting it on the screenshots page.

I was just wondering, Dark52...if you knew how many visitors you have to this site! It is a shame there isnt more Spyro sites like yours and mozepy's (most are in other languages!) But I was just curious!
You should make all your artowrk that is displayed in the upper right-hand corner availible on a "Spyro Imagery" page. Fans could submit their favorite screenshots and artowrk for everyone to enjoy...because I especially liked the Japanese SOI images you have! Those are so cool! Well anyways...

Since January, darkSpyro has gotten about 25,000 hits, though that's only just over 4000 different visitors.
Yep, and that sounds like another great idea. I'll add that to the list of things to do. Cheers.

Glad to see you liked my idea. And also glad to see you get a good amount of visitors, because I hate when sites don't and must be shut down.

Hey Dark52 have you heard about a spyro 6 coming for PS2?
I haven't heard any news about one. And I doubt there'll be one 'till at least next year, which could see it on the next-generation of consoles.
I found descriptions and box art for the 4 McDonald's Spyro games, but its in aforeign language. Looks Spanish, not sure...here you go:

Indeed, not quite Spanish no. Just your basic Portugese to English translations below. (Courtesy of the Babelfish)
Evil Red Attack
In this game, the purple dragon, Spyro, has to save the mystic people that are suffering attacks of the dragon of the evil Evil Red. For this, the players must control the flight of Spyro, catch all the shots what Evil Red orders and return them. When five times are firing in the tank, the dragon of the evil is removed.
The Invasion of the Gnorcs
The player is the proper Spyro in this adventure. The objective is to deviate from the Gnorcs evil, being cuspindo fire, while it catches the magical rocks. When all the rocks had been captured, the game advance a level.
Cave of Diamonds
The player must help Spyro, that is imprisoned, to find the key golden that goes to free it. Dragon has that to prevent to find the Gnorcs that takes care of of the prison and to collect some precious rocks to obtain to release the key, allowing that the player pass for the next level.
Kingdom of the Dragons
The player must gather the precious stones that fall and also show the poisonous serpents that attack the kingdom of Spyro. For this, it is necessary to use the powerful ray of electricity.

Cool, thanks, I'm not too hot with my languages, being as our school only has spanish, and a distant learning (having a teacher from another school on camera and microphone) ... distant learning French. But some of the words cross over. Those games sound okay, but thrown together (the ideas are sort of shallow) and when I went to get one, they gave me "Shark Boy and Lava Girl" and it was long before the toys were supposed to be removed from the happy meals! Alas, I could have had a nice crucnhy chicken salad or big burger, but I lowered myself to the level of a happy meal just for a Spyro toy, and how do they repay me...uh, the horror!

P.S. I think McDonald's is the skimpiest restaurant on the planet, their burgers aren’t even half of the bun size! BOYCOTT THE CLOWN!!!
P.P.S. Sorry about the useless post, I just drank a mountain dew…it does stuff to ya!

Are you the same Neal that hangs around the Spyro the Dragon messages boards at the official website? Hm, you should make an account here.

Which isn't in english...there is a new website that allows you to visit archives of old versions of websites. It is called:
http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html
Just type in a webpage and you can visit old versions if that site! I tried it for spyro and it all works! If you have a pop-up blocker some of the pictures wont show up...but otherwise it is great for all the Spyro Sites and other sites too!
I thought you'd like to know!
