The full interview GameTrailers had with Elijah Wood has finally been posted. It includes some extra questions to Elijah and some more footage of The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon in action.
In other news, the first screenshots of the mobile version of the game have appeared on PocketGamer. You can also check them out in their full non-cropped glory in the gallery.
And in site related news, I've recently made some maps for the Sgt. Byrd speedways in Spyro: A Hero's Tail which should help locate where all those turrets are hiding and perhaps improve your time through the course.
Thanks go to Neal of SpyroWorld for spotting the mobile screens.

For no other reason than that I had access to a load of Spyro related images, I've added brand new galleries and brand new images to already existing galleries for several of the games.
We've got additions for Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Spyro: Fusion, Spyro: Adventure, and Spyro: Season of Ice.

It only took a year and a half but I've finished the maps for A Hero's Tail. Along the same lines I've finished the maps for Season of Ice too, only four and a half years late this time. Now all those lost things can find their way again, hurrah!
I've also now properly finished off the mobile Spyro the Dragon walkthrough which was previously hindered by the lack of the final level in my version of the game. It does indeed now include the boss fight.

Amazingly it's now been two years since I first threw a version of darkSpyro onto the interweb. Who'd have thought this place would still be around, eh?
I meant to finish off the additions to A Hero's Tail by today but, y'know, I'm rubbish at deadlines set by myself. All I managed to do was a Dark Gem page, a Dragon Eggs page and a Light Gem page., ah well. Expect more (actual new stuff) soon(ish).

Just a general update to the site.
A Hero's Tail
The entire guide is now up and ready to be read. All I need do is finish off the maps which I got bored of making as it slowed me down as I wrote. Meh.
Web Desgin
I've changed the sidebar to be more compact and only links to the games rather then all the pages within each game. This should reduce a little bit of clutter. Also some other minor changes around the site that you might notice. Over half the static pages of the site are now up to XHTML 1.0 standards and I'm hoping to get the rest finished off within the next few weeks, despite that fact that there'll be little noticeable difference.

I'm still working on the new php/MySQL version of the site.
Web Design
I've transfered the profiles to a MySQL database as well as all the news. My how I used to posted long pointless news posts.
A Hero's Tail
Reformatted the .txt version of the guide, and I must say it's looking a lot better then before, the items all fit into the text now instead of breaking the flow. I've also added a few extra things such as a task list at the start of the levels as well. Once I have Sunken Ruins finished up I'll submit it to GameFAQs.

Few things to mention today.
A Hero's Tail
I've now fully completed the whole of the Dragon Kingdom Realm. Including the boss fight. Expect more soon. I've also got a .txt version on GameFAQs now so check that out if you can't be bothered with a more colourful and interactive version.
Here are a couple of test links for different stylesheets. <a>click here to change to DARK style!</a> or how about <a>clicking here to change to LIGHT style!</a>

I've finally made a start on my walkthrough for Spyro: A Hero's Tail. And that's not a typo in the title.
A Hero's Tail
The whole first level is complete! Yay. That includes all Dark Gems, Light Gems and Dragon Eggs along with a lot more too. And as well as that, I've edited the map that I put up yesterday for Dragon Village, it now has all the locations marked on it. Click on the Dragon Village title on the Dragon Kingdom page to get to it.

Kinda forgot to update the site over the past few weeks I'm afraid. Been busy.
A Hero's Tail
Finally the game is out, though this happened several weeks ago in North America and about 1 week ago here in Europe. While I have yet to pick up a copy of the game, from what I have heard from others the game is very good, even compared with the original trilogy too! This could be a great start to a great revival to the series after Enter the Dragonfly lost a lot of people.
Forums
I've made some changes to the forums so that they are now almost completely 'aligned' with the rest of the site. They no longer stick out like a sore thumb as they have navigation bars on the side, whether or not this is good for the site is another thing though.

For the first time in a long time, it's time for an update on a Monday. Woo! However this update is of no content and is just a basic bug fixing and corrections correcting update that I thought I might as well do now.
Spyro Fusion
All of the Trading Cards have been optimized in size and format so as to load faster and to reduce the space needed for them. This is all thanks to Mozepy who did all of the work on optimizing the cards (I just changed the page a bit). In a related note, I've also fixed a few errors that were found on said Trading Card page and it now has all 200 Cards rather then 198 as it accidently had prior. Also, after closer inspection of a couple of cards I've decided to not use duplicates for the Castle Riptoc and Ice Riptoc cards anymore, they're all the right card now. Hopefully. Also related, I've optimized the other png images that are used in the Spyro Fusion section too, so now all of the Fusion pages should load just that little faster.
And I've also updated the Party Mode page with some things I originally meant to put it but never got around to.
Enter the Dragonfly
I've finally deleted the unused links from the sidebar so no more confusion about that little problem.
Web Design
I noticed last week that the page wasn't loading correctly in Mozilla Firefox (possibly others too though) as the random image in the top-right kept escaping from its set position. And thanks to a small bit of recoding, it should now work just as it's supposed to. Wahey! Although there are other small problems involving Firefox I currently have no idea about solving them (the main problem being Geocities banners appearing right at the bottom of the page for no reason).
And, if you're lucky and have a browser that lets you see it, I've added a small logo to the side of the site link when you bookmark it. It's not very artistic, but it works on Firefox (hopefully).
Oh, and I've replace Red's picture at the top with a better one.

Strangely enough I've found that I had a little extra time on my hands then I usually have and found enough time in that to do some stuff:
Season of Flame
It's been a while now since I first started this guide, and there hasn't been an update since. However today I bring you another level and the finalisation of the first.
Also, I've updated the World Map a little with some info from that very level that I did. Nothing special, just the key and locked chest. I might at a future date add in the locations of all of the things you need to flame, however this is not decided yet.
Character Guide
I've finally gotten a small bit of work done on this, with a couple of dragons from Spyro the Dragon in the guide now. While you still won't be able to view the character guide until I've completed work on at least Spyro the Dragon's characters, I thought that I might remind you about it and the fact that I'm still 'working' on it.
And as per usual, next week's update is sketchy. Whether or not I will have time to do anything is down to several factors. None I will mention here though. I'll just say that there is more of a chance of an update then there was a few weeks ago. I'm starting to get back into this business and I really want to get my Season of Flame guide finished before A Hero's Tail arrives in November (around a month and a half away!).
Oh, and there's very little chance of a new Season of Ice map for a while either, it's just very boring making them. However I'm not abandoning the project altogether, just postponing it until around Christmas (however it is likely that I may not have much time then either, thereby postponing it until either Easter (once again very little chance of time) or the Summer (a lot higher chance of time)) so it will most likely be a long long wait for them. Sorry, but I really can't be bothered with them at the moment.

Finally this week I got my hands on a demo of Spyro: A Hero's Tail from the Official PlayStation 2 Magazine UK #51, and that's all this update has as I've been unable to do anything else for a while now, sorry about that.
A Hero's Tail
The demo features four seperate levels from the game, two featuring Spyro, one with Hunter and the final one shows off a Sgt. Byrd level. The full review for the demo is found here which features a 'walkthrough' for each of the four levels as well as some extra stuff too.
Web Design
It's not really much, but I've added a Red image to the random pictures you see in the top right corner of the page, it shows him using his Dark Gem sceptre. Not quite up to the standards of all the others as I had to cut him out of a picture unlike the others which were in layered files which made using them perfect with no horrible edges like there are on the Red one.

Today's the day we get content under every game heading. Finally. And here's a roundup of what's been done over the past week:
Year of the Dragon
Amazingly enough, I finally got round to completing the whole of the Spyro: Year of the Dragon guide. It's now fully completed all the way through, all 150 eggs collect, all 20,000 gems collected. Wahey! I've also completed the Skill Points and Cheats pages now as well, thus completing my work on Year of the Dragon forever.
Spyro: Adventure
Amazingly within all that other work I've done, I managed to create a brand new map system for Spyro: Adventure. Found here you can see the work I did on the 19 in-game maps (yep, I found another one that I'd missed) which now shows you where all of the coloured chests, Sgt. Byrd air vents, Agent 9 air vents, Moneybags vaults and Phoenix Footprints are. Quite useful if I do say so myself. I've even got a link to it on the sidebar now.
Season of Flame
Slightly less useful at the moment, I have made a similar map system for Season of Flame. While it is still incomplete it might be slightly useful for you if you like looking at maps. I do plan on adding things to it in the future such as the locations of the fireflies as well as actually putting the locked chests and keys onto the maps. Found here you should take a quick look.
Season of Ice
And in wake of that, I've gotten ahead and started up my guide to the first GBA Spyro game, Season of Ice. I am also planning to make a map system like the other two games but it will take a bit longer as I will have to make the maps myself from scratch. I've currently only made one so far, click here to see it. While not as cartoony as the ones for the other games, it does give you an overview of the level.
A Hero's Tail
I've taken the time to write up as much info as I know about the game, along with a bit of guesswork, and several images to go with it. Click here to take a look. It introduces the game and several of it's new features.
Character Guide
I said I'd try to work on it, and I've done just that. I have now begun filling it in with all of the characters from the original game. When I get it filled full for that game, I'll release it to the world. That should be done in a couple of weeks, so prepare yourself for that too. However progress has so far been a little slow, as I've only managed to do the pages for Spyro and Sparx at the moment. No matter though. All shall be done one day. Also note that every character to appear in the guide will have a screenshot of them, so no wondering who I'm blabbering on about it the profiles.

I've organised the news so that it isn't just a big block of nonsense news from now on, there are now categories to it so you can ignore paragraphs that you aren't interested in.
Web Desgin
Well, after a bit of thought I decided to take this look as the new look for the site. While it isn't exactly how I wanted it, this is how it's going to stay until at least next week. It was originally going to have a bit more interactivity to it involving collapsing menus and rollover images, but due to me not really understanding the JavaScript language enough to write my own scripts, it was all scrapped for the version you saw last week.
Year of the Dragon Guide
OK, well I got quite a bit done this week, not yet completed, but it's getting there. Now the guide is complete all the way through Sunrise Spring, Midday Garden and the first several levels of Evening Lake. This just leaves the rest of Evening Lake and the wholeof Midnight Mountain to go. Maybe next week, who knows?
Character Guide
Unfortunately due to the time I've spent attempting to make the site look better, I had to ignore the Character Guide for yet another week, however I am proud to say that the basic guide is now fully completed and now just needs a lot of data and screenshots to make it work. I won't be able to do any of this data gathering until after I have completed all of the guides for this site as well as for darkgta.tk so it may be a while before you actually get to see it.
A Hero's Tail Images
I've added a larger picture of the box cover for A Hero's Tail in the screenshots page. Just click on the small image to get to the larger version, which is the original full drawing for the cover which was found on the website of the person who drew it.
Other
As an added note, I forgot to use the system I mentioned last week this week so some pages and items may not have been updated correctly, however as far as I can tell it is all just as it should be. As usual I'll give the site the once over before retiring to work on next weeks update.
