Developed by previously unknown (and since) companies Equinoxe/Check Six, this game, it's safe to say, was rubbish. Easily the worst Spyro game ever created. Though I might as well have this section despite that.

There's very little to the story of this game. Basically they're still celebrating the Year of the Dragon festival, but now it's time to give the baby dragons their dragonflies. However Ripto shows up, mucks up a spell and loses all of the dragonflies all over the realm. Even Sparx. It's up to Spyro to save the day again.

I like this game, was fun although it seems underated. The noises that the enemies made were weird.

@James Fakeman: It probably would have blown the first three games on the PS1 out of the water, I think it would have been an awesome experience if it was done correctly, Spyro has so much potential, and it's a crying shame that Activision does no longer see that.

Imagine if they would remade this game with everything as originally planned! But still a good game but i realised what if they would remade the game with the original planned content?

Same here, my first Spyro and first console game I ever played. I grew up on PC games, so this game compared to a MS-DOS game was a masterpiece. And I still love it. Despite it being quite buggy, it was a lot of fun to play.

This was the first Spyro game I had, so I don't see it as all bad, the glitches even make things fun and easier.

V You've clearly never played the later Resident Evil games.

Those have to be the worst things ever made.

On topic, this game was just one headache after another.

Lets just hope it falls into a pit and is never dug out again along with Season of Ice.

In all honesty, I think the game was fair. It WAS rushed and it DID have glitches, but I still enjoyed playing it when I did. I may even go back to it if I ever get the chance to.
