The Legend of Spyro 3D

The cancelled animated 3D Spyro movie, it was intended to be the first of a franchise. The originally proposed release date was said to have been around Christmas 2009.

Plot Synopsis

A very special dragon's egg is being guarded by Ignitus. However, it's being hunted and is no longer safe. Ignitus hands the precious egg over to a woodland full of Dragonflies to keep. Knowing these creatures are peaceful and more importantly hard to find, Ignitus calls on an allegiance from their distant ancestry. The Dragonflies will protect the egg and raise the dragon as their own.

Brought up alongside Sparx, Spyro is led to believe that he himself is a dragonfly who just happens to be slightly bigger and purpler than the other dragonflies.

Until... one day the village is attacked and Spyro has been found. Instinctively using his unknown powers, Spyro realises just how different he is. Confused and upset, he learns that he is not in fact a dragonfly, but a dragon who carries the role of being part of a great prophecy that will bring peace to all the land.

Spyro, along with his trusty sidekick Sparx pursue this epic adventure and attempt the impossible; the demise of the deadly Dark Master. However, between them stands Cynder, a very powerful black dragon powered by the red crystal around her neck, which enslaves her to the Dark Master. Eventually though, good prevails over evil and Spyro manages to overcome Cynders' powers and destroy the red crystal. The destruction of the crystal releases all the dead from the Dark Master’s enslavement and everyone rejoices.

All seems well, as Spyro becomes a hero for saving all of dragonkind. However, lurking in the far distance we spy a swirl of clouds… and inside of it, two pulsing red eyes. The story continues...

Just because the scales on his chest are differen't doesn't make much of an issue. Probally the way the Design of the poster was made due to the high graphic of it. His eyes? Maybe its just the way the light hits his eyes altering the color of it. In ANB and TEN Cynder was blacker then a boot, then in DotD she was midnight purple. Nice catch, but nothing special in my view. Can't Argue that it's not spyro.

121123232221543, we need a sequel to the movie, like, what happens to Spyro and Cynder when they get older, not it becoming a kissy-romance movie. Will someone who already finished the whole trilogy<lyk me, well, aside from me!> write a story of the fourth game? I mean, if ever there will be, i doubt it.

Also they could be making a series of all the games then one about afterwards! And another thing why just show them playing for you didn't even realy tell why. For they could just show them kissing or something else. Plus why not have a side story about the others please do explain/:-(

Well, it is and it isn't. It's to talk about it, but when we already know what the movie is about, whats their to talk about beside how excited people are. I'm actually talking about it in the view of it not coming out, due to media on the internet, and proof of it.
So yes, it is discussing it, and at the same time, off topic.

It's like the Harry potter series. Thats why they make it, cause people will watch it. Spyro was very short, but the plot was nice. I think they could of done better with game play time, and make it alot longer. I miss the good ol' days where bosses raped your character if you didn't lv up enough and just skipped alot of monsters. I'm currently stuck on on of the hardest bosses in Lunar 2 Eternal blue complete, And I have not misses a single mob in the game up to that point. And yet, Skill is required to know when to defend, heal, and attack.

Their love life? Can't be much sense its probally pg-13 and all they'll do is show them playing with each other, or more grown up and have wyrmlings of their own. Other then that, it seems the story is over, and now they must create a new story line, or try to strecth it out and ruin the plot.

Well, then that would be great, but if, say, you put that in the movie, you would have a full-length movie with specials! But we would have to wait for it, though. <3

Why would the movie be on a story that has already been told! Why not a new one like what happens after Dawn of the Dragon. Like what happens to Ignitus or Spyro and Cynder's love life. Also on the other dragons and Hunter.

No one has noticed that the two Spyros are different,the one from the game has purple eyes and the one on the movie poster has blue eyes.Also the scales on his underbelly and cheast are different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only a New Beginning!? Pih!You'r right soscer,this movie will be short,and why is on cover of box ''painted'' Spyro from DotD?
But I think this movie is will be good because Eragon is great movie.

So I finally saw something on yahoo that had Spyro the movie on it. No release dates, poster, no nothing. My hopes for it has increased 5 points. Still not convinced but getting their.

I'm just a fan. I'm a True Legend of zelda and Final fantasy fan. I'd just go torrent it of the internet and watch it for free.
