Released in October 2006, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, is said to be the first of a new reset storyline and was developed by Krome Studios (PS2, XBOX, GCN, GBA) and Amaze Entertainment (DS).

Features

  • Action/combat orientated
  • New breath abilities, fury attacks, melee and aerial combo attacks

  • The new storyline explores Spyro's origins, all the way back to when he hatched and was raised by a family of dragonflies

@cynder124: You can't get this game for the Xbox 360, it's only out for PS2, GameCube and Xbox. You can probably download it from the Xbox Live Marketplace but I'm sure the graphics won't be updated and will still be kept the same.

This is not a bad game but some parts can be very awkward. In my opinion, the levels towards the end become too much of a chore and become very boring, the earlier levels are fine but nothing really fantastic. Most of the levels mainly consist of one colour scheme which makes it quite dull. But a really good level that is close to the original Spyro games would be Tall Plains, I quite like that one. This would be the only LoS game that I would say is worth playing fully.

I liked it how they used David Spade as Sparx's voice and Cree Summer as the Evil Cynder, it suites them.

When I saw the trailer for this game before it was out, I thought it would be a failed atempt at a new Spyro game, the same thing with Skylanders. Boy, was I wrong.
