Released in October 2006, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, is said to be the first of a new reset storyline and was developed by Krome Studios (PS2, XBOX, GCN, GBA) and Amaze Entertainment (DS).

Features

- Elijah Wood as the voice of Spyro
- David Spade as the voice of Sparx
- Gary Oldman as the voice of Ignitus: a red dragon, the Fire Dragon Elder and Spyro's mentor.
- Named enemies. A lot of creatures that Spyro attacks will have their own individual name (randomly assigned except for significant enemies such as bosses or some small creatures). You can read a complete list of all of the bits of the names, and view a Random Enemy Name Generator.

hi i have all of the Spyro games and out of all of them i love the 2 new ones; The Legend of Spyro: New Beginning & Legend Of Spyro Eternal Night. i am stuck on Eternal night on where you have to defeat ur first boss which is a tree dude but he keeps healing himself as soon as i get him done to the last little bit.
Thats my fav out of all the spryo games, but I have never played Spryo the Etnernal night before, so I don't no if its any better than the first one.

To Spyro girl: You can unlock a Cynder skin and a bunch of other goodies on the DS version with the puzzles. You have to collect 60 for the Cynder skin, though. But it's probably not that hard, since dark52 put all of the solutions for them on this site.
ah, i have spyro 1,2,3,4 and 6 (this game), and i hate spyro 4. and this game doesnt remind me much of the originals, well not anything actually. and, um, i do think it is better than enter the dragonfly.

I hated those fish things! Good thing I lent my DS version to a friend and he unlocked everything for me!
