I also don't cheat to do it.
In the gba version I can get to the runic switch without wall climb.
As awesome as A New Beginning was, it's sad to say that the sequel to such an awesome game could be so...BAD. This game (I find) is absolutely terrible. All the levels are extremely bleak and boring, nothing really stands out from them. There are MASSIVE difficulty spikes in all the wrong places (the SECOND LEVEL for crying out loud) and just becomes extremely cheap. The flipping Wolf-Hyena things are the most cheapest things I've ever encountered in video game history. They charge at you with such a high speed that you're given almost no reaction time whatsoever. Not only that, but if one hits you and you get dazed for 3 seconds, another one will charge at you and add an additional 3 seconds, making a chain of attacks that you CANNOT escape. It's ridiculous. To make matters worse, when you die (unlike ANG) you have to fight every enemy you fought ALL OVER AGAIN instead of just simply defeating the ones you haven't killed yet. It's...extremely...annoying. I cannot stress that enough. The platforming was also pretty aggravating due to some wonky collision detection. But negatives aside, the only thing about this "game" I found positive was the amazing soundtrack (once again) and the storyline as well. But overall...this wasn't a pleasant experience for me. I apologize to the people who really like this game. If you like it, more power to you. We all have our opinions. But for me, I couldn't stand it. I give this "game" a 4.
Like.you just did?
I didn't actually know people still comment under these game tabs. Ahaha.
I love it, but I like DOTD better.

This game brings back so much nostalgia and memories of late nights working to complete this game! I finally unlocked dark spyro and defeated the game in one day, less than 1/3 of the time with regular spyro. Overall, I give this game a 10/10.
