Meet Spyro the Dragon - he's a fiesty little flame-spouting dragon on a GIGANTIC, 'go-anywhere', 3D adventure!

Packed with puzzles and enchanting adventures. Collect treasures, recover stolen family jewels and discover hidden regions.
Dragons come to life with hints as you free them from their spells. Enemies run and hide, hit each other, fire cannons, throw snowballs and even "moon" you.

I feel bad for the Skylanders that haven't played the original Spyro games. (They are only here because of Skylanders after all) They don't know what makes this game such a classic. =_=

Everyone we need another Spyro game. He's the best screw Cynder we need Sparrx and the old characters I dont care about graphics or how good it looks I want old Spyro and old characters back add in a gnome for help he would tunnel to you if you need help this is just an idea don't hate just make your own ideas keep asking for old spyro re matered I would pay at least$50 for a good spyro game I mean come on its been forever activision you can do it you would make fans and only make it for the ps3 and Xbox not he wii come on you can just make it on ps3 for all I care I love just dont fly glide and anyone else out there just make your own posts about this on any section of darkspyro old Spyro is amazing I grew up with him kinda my dad the only thing we would do together was spyro but there is no spyro everyone just make ideas suggestions even email activison or me at Matthew@ttucker.com please we need this don't we it depends on us to persaud these guys to do it

If you look at Spyro's name on the Japanese boxart, you can see Ripto. That (may) have been where they got the name from, because, remember, Ripto was introduced in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. If they hadn't changed the game's name to Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer, then it would've said Spyro 2: Spyro's Rage. Still makes sense, I guess.
