Story

The story and background for the new types of toys is as detailed below:

In Skylanders Trap Team, Kaos continues his ongoing quest to rule over Skylands. He has discovered the location of the legendary Cloudcracker Prison -- a fortress built entirely out of the magical substance Traptanium and home to Skylands' most nefarious baddies. In an attempt to build his own army of foes, Kaos blows up the prison, releasing the most wanted villains and blasting shards of Traptanium to Earth in the form of Traps. Now it's up to Portal Masters to recapture all of the escaped villains using powerful Traptanium Traps and defeat Kaos before it's too late!

Characters

All pre-existing figures work with Trap Team but of course there is a whole slew of new toys to collect. First to note are the 18 new Trap Masters, Trap Masters are a larger Skylander toy that wields a translucent "Traptanium" weapon and has an advantage when fighting the capturable villains. There are also 18 new core Skylanders who will join the fight, new mini versions of old characters as well as several reposed fan-favourites from previous adventures.

To help differentiate between the old and new sets, the base of the Skylanders for Skylanders Trap Team is coloured red instead of the green/orange/blue currently seen on the Spyro's Adventure, Giants and SWAP Force toys.

Traps

Another new toy added with Trap Team is the Trap. These translucent crystals are made of Traptanium and are essential for capturing the various villains. Each Trap is a specific element and allows you to capture villains that match that element.

V I don't know his other attacks, I was just proving a point to her.

Anyway, here's my theory on Enigmas Eyeball staff;

Enigma doesn't see out of his face, but instead sees out of his staff.

@84skylanderdude Stop, it's annoying, it's not funny anymore.

How do you know that his other attack other than his bombs aren't magic based

Why does eye five look like a doom raider obviously squadron star guy is super strong and plus the doom raiders are in an order if eye five was the doom raider then it would mess up the whole order

And plus he doesn't look like a robot he's a crow with he just had yellow eyes

#7691 Gruffon77 01:32:57 27/08/2014
I suspect that Eye five may be the magic doom raider. One the pirate said he was able to enter dreams, so that could lead to an idea of a powerful character. If I had to come up with an element... Magic, usually magic goes along with dreams. I suspect Eye five may have some hypnosis based attacks and eye lasers...
As for Star Stream((my name for him.)) if anything the guy would be air. One he is a bird... Second I suspect his level has something to do with air ships or something...

V Just because Bomb-Shell's fire is purple doesn't mean it is magic. When fire is purple it means it's hotter.

#7689 Hexisboss 01:09:27 27/08/2014
Not exactly the only reasons the other villains seem out of whack is because you have no clue what they're actions are for instance today someone questioned bomb shell being in magic because he has bombs news flash to all closed minded people if all the bomb characters were in tech and fire those two elements will get boring anyway the reason bomb shell is in magic is because his bombs explode into purple (magic) fire

And also for future posts if your gonna say eye five looks more undead than magic look at the robot bird guy he looks like he belongs in tech yet all the tech villains have been revealed so who knows

#7688 84skylanderdude 01:01:33 27/08/2014
V other villains' elements are out of place too. I wouldn't be surprised if Eye Five wasn't magic.
avatar
#7687 Hexisboss 00:53:01 27/08/2014
Eye five I'd magic (opinion) because life, fire, water, earth, tech, and air wouldn't make any sense at all I mean he's a monster made out of purple goop and undead would make some sense but not as much as magic because purple goo has nothing to do with the undead element as it could have something to do with magic

The reason everyone is denying it is because they like the bird guy and hope.....emphasis on hope.....he will be the magic doom raider but he won't be magic I thought he'd be in tech at first because he looks like he's made of metal but tech being filled obviously not so in looking again the red glowing eyes make me think fire

@GadtheGreat I know right, at first I thought it was a hover board, but then a guy with a pet vac avatar found an hd image of him revealing it to be a carpet

#7684 KoalaTart 23:52:40 26/08/2014
eye five actually might not be magic, it actually could be fire or something. i think the bird is the magic doom raider. I'm also curious to find out about some of the other villains like eye five, (like to see some of his attacks)

V
V
and enigma is an interesting character, he does have an eye on his staff... wonder what that is for.

V Slobber Trap should be Earth or Life (Just look at him!) and I think Maskermind should be magic (His abilities are magic and when he gets trapped he talks about magic).

Take a look at Enigma's staff, it's an EYEBALL!

#7681 GadtheGreat 22:37:14 26/08/2014
PortalMasterJ I thought he was on a Hover Board! That would have been a lot cooler... In my opinion

But personally, I think they stuffed up a lot of the elements for villains.
Brawl and Chain, Brawlrus (shoots starfish yet in tech), Tussle Sprout (should be in life), Shield Shredder (should be in tech), Krankenstein (I don't know what element, just not Air!), Mab Lobs (should be in Fire or Earth, not Tech! But we don't know what he is or what he does so.) and Bomb Shell (Why is he in Magic when he has the word 'Bomb' in his name?! Should't they be in Tech?).

Well that's what I think. What do you guys think? Do you think they have been stuffing up the elements too? smilie
