In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story
Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

My mom would never buy me that! Cost too much. ( especially after mom bought me a ds!) And sadperson how is that rude at all? I dont see any difrences on the screen shots.
...not to be rude....but i say use psp...whatever they are called......better grafices....
wow! Nobody missed me!? I know I have not posted in a while. Well not since I needed help on shadow legacy ( and I still do) . Anyway is the DS version of this game any good? I'm thinking of getting it for the ds ( even know I already have it for the ps2.)

you defeat Malefor after fighting him 3 or 4 times and sometime during that Cynder turns evil again but Spyro won't fight her so she asks"why won't you fight me" and Spyro says "because Malefore left me with nothing to fight for" Cynder turns good again and in the end after Malefor is finally defeated Spyro tells Cynder to get away from him because he knows what he must do but she says she will stay with him and Spyro makes a huge bubble to save the earth from falling apart and right before they die you can hear Cynder whisper"I love you"then Ignatius becomes the new Chronicler but he can't find any trace of Spyro in a book where pages on dragons after they die are shown Ignatius then says"where are you young dragon?" after which the game zooms in on a crystal around Ignatius' neck it then shows Spyro and Cynder flying around an area that looks oddly like Avalar and that's how the game ends and yes Ignatius seems to die because his spirit talks to Spyro but i'm not sure if he is really dead or not it is a very confusing ending.
I got Dotd when it first came out in October and beat it in 3 days all I can say is that it suprised me how much happens in the game and yet it didn't seem too long oh well hope spyro continues on.
I have answered my own question. You need to play as cinder and use dark shadow and she goes under the gateways.
I am trying hard to get the last crystal in the ruins of warfang and can't get it. I egnite the electic lever which pulls the blocks into the wall but can't go anywhere. I crash down into the tunnel and keep getting squashed.
