In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story

Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

Yeah, I was amazed at the graphics for Dotd on ps2, especially in Alavar valley, the graphics were REALLY shiny then.

Love this game, if just for the fact that's it's a 2-player. I can share my favorite game series with a friend! <3 Thought the dialogue was a little corny (sometimes humorous), and whenever I see Sparx now, I think of Let's Make a Deal (lol) But who really cares? xD I love Sparx, and Wayne Bady's cool too. And I don't know why people are complaining about the graphics smilie Spyro's come a long way since 1998...

IN VALLEY OF AVALAR THEY MADE THE WINGS TO BRIGHT LOLOL

GRAPHICS ARE HORIBLE FOR PS2 LOL

I have a PlayStation 2 and when i play DOTD in my opionion, i think the graphics including the light bright/shining, is so fab, its outstanding quality of graphics smilie

I was just playing the DS one today and it made me realize how much better the console version is. And in the DS version I realized that Spyro's eyes are blue, not purple.
