Developed by previously unknown (and since) companies Equinoxe/Check Six, this game, it's safe to say, was rubbish. Easily the worst Spyro game ever created. Though I might as well have this section despite that.

There's very little to the story of this game. Basically they're still celebrating the Year of the Dragon festival, but now it's time to give the baby dragons their dragonflies. However Ripto shows up, mucks up a spell and loses all of the dragonflies all over the realm. Even Sparx. It's up to Spyro to save the day again.

well there are reasons that peeps hate this. it was really weird looking, glitchy, and short compared to other originals.
This game gets too much hate, and DotD gets too much love.

Blah. This could have been epic. The lag is terrible. I have both versions of the game and I can safely say they are both equally displeasing. At least the music is OK, and the graphics wold be cool if it wasn't for the lag. 3/10

they should remake this game. when i grow up and buy spyro im remaking this game. better graphics (but still look original) less glitchy, more gameplay, and thinner dragonflys. they are FAT! 
The birds' singing in the homeworld reminds me of playing a game that has NOTHING to do with Spyro on a Saturday evening. 
Only problem is the game I liked playing back then froze whenever I entered a different part of any of the levels.

i like the part where he screams at the ballon and spyro calls him a baby
yea hunter had muscle spasms each time he talked to you. i bet when everyone first saw him in that game they were like: AHHHHHH GIANT STRETCHED TEDDY BEAR HAVING SPASMS IS ATTACKING! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
