Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

Hm...that's strange, maybe they did include cortex and crash, but neither of them have sensei belts do they

That doesn't look like chompy Mage in the life section

Well how about the pictures of the light sensei yeti guy and what looks to be a dark sensei hood now guy

And the fact that it clearly says 20 new senseis, which doesn't include crash and cortex

Where can I find this poster I want to see it

Oh and if they didn't make them even the battle classes would be uneven

Is its blastertron it'll probably be bazooka but I've still got my fingers crossed for luminous and @colton, nobody is pretty sure it's blastertron because there has been no news or hints at the fact, are you sure that isn't your personal opinion, then again it could be anyone considering they're switching up characters elements, could be something like dreamcatcher, or threatpack for all anyone knows

@omer1698 what are you talking about, they are all equal this year

Wasn't expecting air strike to be so short

So wave one has all the battle classes accept bazooker

*except

tfb i am really disappointed from you right now, we are not asking for a full light and dark roster, just that they will have equal number just like the rest of the elements is that to much to ask? With all do reaspct to aurura, starcast, hood sickle and blastertron? Im still exited for the game but still, not cool tfb, not cool.

There are three left: a magic senseis, a tech senseis and a light villain senseis. We still have no idea which battle class for Chompy Mage, Pain-Yatta and Luminous.

You wanna know what's is great about today? We solved a lot of mysteries and maybe tomorrow someone can squint at the poster and figure out who's who.

You can pre-order now, just remember GS is notorious for screwing up pre-order bonuses.

#3092 colton 02:20:16 18/08/2016
Do they have to announce the preorder bonus first or can you just go to a gamestop and preorder now and still get kaos?
