Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

Personally I don't see him being popular, but in all honesty he doesn't fit the class list at all...at least Dreamcather could be a brawler or a ninja. Kankenstein could at least be a brawler and Bad Juju would have to be the Sentinel.

V What's wrong with Buzzer Beak being a figure?
He was one of my favourites to be honest.

Brawler: Fist
Smasher: Ax
Sorcerer: Wand
Knight: Sword
Ninja: Shuriken
Sentinel: Double Scythe Thingy
Quickshot: Target/Reticle
Bowslinger: Bow and Arrow
Bazooker: Bazooka
Swashbuckler: Two Cutlasses

"Its not 100% confirmed if all the doomraiders will be senseis there have been 5 games already each with its own bosses"

Do I really have to point out that bosses and Villains are not the same thing lol

"But in game terms what will her class be? what weapon would she carry? how would she carry it?"

The same can be said about Krankenstein < <

And who said she needs to have a weapon? Crash does not have a weapon and he's a brawler or did you forget about that?

So there are only 4 FORMER VILLAINS to choose from. There is no way Buzzer Beak is making it in and I highly doubt Bad Juju is going to steal a spot from the Chompy Mage, one of the most Iconic baddies in the game. So that leaves TWO options. On one side you have Dreamcatcher which had a ton of Face time in Trap Team and than you have Krankenstein who had absolutely zero......You're right the obvious MARKETING decision is Krankenstein. LOL

@Pokelander: Clearly your the one not using common sense, toy is not the issue you could just stick her giant head on a base and be done with it. But in game terms what will her class be? what weapon would she carry? how would she carry it?

Its not 100% confirmed if all the doomraiders will be senseis there have been 5 games already each with its own bosses Activision/TFB may have decided to switch it up to mess with the fans and give the lime light over to lesser known bosses. But its not out of the realm of possiblity either that the doomraiders will all be used, but I quite honestly hope they don't so that your arguement becomes invalid and we can stop you areguing constantly.

Half the fun is specualtion and clearly this concept is something you do not quite grasp, please stop "confirming" things you frankly know nothing about unless of course your saying you work for the skylanders team and are leaking information: which as we are all aware is a breach of their contracts and would mean being fired over some trival matter.....

Ps. Pain-Yatta ftw!

I'm not starting arguments, I'm stating the obvious. There's a recurring pattern here and if you refuse to see it then that's your fault. I don't need for it to be announced to realize it's going to happen. If this board used a little more common sense now and then you wouldn't have to speculate 24/7.

I could name you five good reasons why should be in where as you couldn't even give me one reason why she wouldn't.

she would*

V Quit trying to start arguments. Nothing about dreamcatcher has been announce yet. Only time will tell right now, so don't go on telling these people things that aren't even confirmed.

Dreamcatcher is in, Idk why everyone has a hard time seeing her in. They will do what they have done many times before and give her a twister like connector from the bottom of her to the base. She is an air skylander after all. Although they could decide to give her a menacing pose in which they could connect her by her hair.

I don't see Bad Juju happening. No personality.

It will be a combination of Doom-Raiders and regular villains. Hopefully we'll see Tae Kwan Crow instead of Nightshade. I think it will be Chompy Mage for the Life element, except I dont know which battle class he will belong. I also think we'll see another villain other that the Gulper (loved him) as the water villain. Maybe a swashbuckler like Brawl and Chain? For fire obviously Chef Pepper Jack. Air is kinda up in the air (no pun intended) because Dreamcatcher wont be a very good character to make a figure. Maybe Bad Juju? And the light will probably be Luminous. As for the 11th villain i have no idea. Crash doesn't count towards the 31, so maybe we will get some form of Kaos?? Just my thoughts dont take it to heart

IMO I agree, the Doomraiders seem to be the more significant villains from Trap Team. I have a hard time thinking about how someone like Cuckoo Clocker would be considered instead of a more.......eh....well...a more "significant" character like Chompy Mage. I know people have their favorites but I really think the Doomraiders are taking up the villain slots.

So after the announcement of Pain-Yatta and Dr. Krankcase, I think it's pretty safe to assume they are going with the Doomraiders for villains.
