Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

Maybe it wasn't all that confirmed, but could you at least not be a troll about it? smilie

VVVV It was still not OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED, is that not what I have been criticized for in the past 3 days LOL.

And I find it very odd that a YT who claims he went to E3 didn't record one shred of e3 video with Lou saying these things.

I bet you would believe the sky was made of pizza if you seen it on TV. lol

V Alright, thanks, Trump. smilie

That video came from a guy who actually went to the event, and therefore has more info than you could ever have.

Don't forget that ownership falls under the manage as well.

Where did you hear that?

Hm...if he said that, I wonder what the Manage tab is for then...

There's just in: Not ALL Villains Figures are form Trap Team, so the other Doom Raider might not be in this.

If someone had already said this, I'm sorry.

He makes it sound as if the crystal cannot be reset back to normal. Granted he starts out by saying "I THINK." So take that with a grain of salt but if they do this that would really suck.

The manage tab was never opened in any video I saw, can you verify that claim? Or are you assuming it's there from past iterations? I am genuinely concerned about this.

V There is a Manage tab, where the Reset button is. You can reset your character there.

And about your stickers question. I think that they just assume you're not going to change your class by resetting or you get another crystal of the same element to make another Imaginator of a different class.

#741 Pokelander 13:45:34 19/06/2016
I'm talking about the ability to reset the class and start fresh.

#740 SodaPopHD 13:38:38 19/06/2016
VVVV It's most likely going to be that way, since you can only have one crystal in each element.

V Yeah, each crystal can house only one. I don't know if you can change that or not, because we've had two (reliable) sources that conflict each other.

V No, each crystal can only house one. I don't remember when I saw that, but I know I did.

Unless you mean that you can just change their class

He may be misinformed but that's what I got from this video. It would make sense because I have read it somewhere else which I'm looking for atm.

And the fact that it would make them more money this way.

Make sure to watch it until the end where they end his demo when he starts talking about managing the Imaginite crystal.

And the last thing I forgot about are the stickers. Why would you need stickers to define the class if the crystal can house all 10? Why would you use a Brawler sticker only to change it 2 days later to a Sorcerer sticker?

No @Pokelander they said if you buy 1 creation crystal per element and there are 10 battle classes you have 100 starting points to create your imaginator.

They could go any which way to tell you the truth, my concern lies in the designs, even though that means nothing.

Has anyone heard about the gimmick yet? The word is that to have 10 classes for each element you will have to buy 100 Imaginite crystals. I sure hope this is not true.
