Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

V erm, that's exactly why they're in a row, they were displayed in the Imaginator menu as the Senseis of those classes.

Another thing I thought of. The demo was a very old prototype. Maybe Hood Sickle was originally considered but maybe it's somebody else now. Just a thought...probably not true, but something to think about.

I actually thought of something:
If you see a picture of the page showing the characters faces you can see that they're in rowes of three.
Example: the Female Eon looking skylander, the bearded tech skylander and Bad Juju are in a row. What if these 3 are the swashbucklers. We know that Bad Juju is a swashbuckler and Hood Sickle is a sentinel so what if the two in the same line are the same class as them!
Another example: The redskinned female skylander, Ember and Hood Sickle are in the same row. We know that Ember and Hood Sickle are sentinels so what if the other skylander is one too?
Because these are the rows that they were shown in:
Tri-Tip, unknown undead skylander: smashers
Female Eon skylander, bearded tech skylander, Bad Juju: swashbucklers
Unknown life skylander, horned white skylander, Wolfgang: bowslingers
Female redskinned skylander, Ember, Hood Sickle: sentinels
Because we know that there are going to be 3 senseis per battle class + Crash so maybe they show the 3 senseis of these classes.

I also thought of something else:
What if it isn't 2 senseis and 1 villainous sensei per element but 2 senseis and 1 villainous senseis per battle class? That would explain why Hood Sickle is also in the game.

And finally i think that Crash is part of the 31 senseis because i looked at the box of Superchargers and it said that there are over 40 skylanders and vehicles to collect, they counted Bowser and DK and their vehicles in the total amount of skylanders so why wouldn't they include Crash?

Any thoughts?

Seriously can't wait till everyone realises dream catcher will not be ported to this game as she is a redundant character as far as these character's go, I'm miffed there are no quadrapeds in this game.

I think, maybe, 3 things seeing Hood Sickle.

1) Light and dark aren't getting villains so 2 elements are going to have 2 villains
2) Hood Sickle could be reverted into a dark villain
3)Hood Sickle is the 11th villain and undead will just have 2

The Tech(?) Sentinel and the Tech(?) Swashbuckler are disappointments, as are all the Swashbucklers, but happy we got Bad Juju! Not happy about Hood Sickle.

The Bowslingers are perfection though, and so is that Magic or Undead Smasher.

As I said in the forum, Dreamcatcher not being playable means she still has villain potential. Less likely if she didn't get picked over Bad Juju, but it's a possibility.

Dreamcatcher can still come back in this game! (Low chance) but Hood sickle and wolfgang are both there! Maybe they can be too!

Link is "check the forum". The London event which many mentioned but never recorded had a super early version of the character creator where you could see each class' senseis, but the art there isn't final, we just know who's in which class and a glimpse of new guys.

Actually, this other half of the post was too blunt, sorry, but I can't actually link myself right now.

Guys! Someone found a HUGE leak of the full roster of Sentinels, Swashbucklers, Smashers, and Archers on the forum! Hood Sickle is a Sentinel in the game and Bad Juju is a Swashbuckler!
