Released in October 2006, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, is said to be the first of a new reset storyline and was developed by Krome Studios (PS2, XBOX, GCN, GBA) and Amaze Entertainment (DS).

Features

  • Action/combat orientated
  • New breath abilities, fury attacks, melee and aerial combo attacks
  • Upgradeable breath abilities
  • The new storyline explores Spyro's origins, all the way back to when he hatched and was raised by a family of dragonflies

Just finished this game and what I will say is that it was mostly pretty good apart from the combat system being incredibly monotonous and repetitive.

My favorite "Legend of Spyro" game.
I replayed and beat this so many times, yet I never grow old of it. smilie

I have wanted this game for a while, but all the classic spyro games sell for $50 and up USED. If you want the X-Box version of any of the spyro games, then it gets over $110...

Make at least just one more game in the legend of spyro series, because Dawn of the dragon's ending sort of made me feel like there was more to it.

i wonder why people who have played all of the older spyro games alot dont like this as much, they almost always say something like this; "This is nothing like the old games! you broke all of the rules Krome!" i think that is totally un relavent to the game. well, yes Krome did break the #1 rule, Spyro doesn't fly.
But, that really doesn't matter, because if no one cares that spyro in skylanders flys, why should we care if he flys in the legend of spyro series?
