No way am I going to argue to Activision. I WANT them to go back to the originals. By the looks of it, it might return, and I don't want them to change.

¨The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is the third and final installment in The Legend of Spyro trilogy, as well as the tenth anniversary game of the series. It was released on October, 2008 for the Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3 for North America, and was devolped by Etranges Libellules. In the game, Spyro and Cynder awaken in the future, and set out to stop Malefor, the Dark Master, and the first purple dragon, from spreading his evil across the world. Unlike previous Spyro games, this game features the ability to switch between Spyro and Cynder at any time. There is also a two player mode, with two players either playing as Spyro and Cynder simultaneously. Along with this new freedom comes "Free Flight," which allows Spyro and Cynder to fly at any time. Once again, Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman reprise their roles while Billy West is replaced as the voice of Sparx by Wayne Brady, Christina Ricci replaces Mae Whitman as the voice of Cynder, and Blair Underwood voices Hunter of Avalar. Mark Hamill does the voice for Malefor, the Dark Master¨

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guys i read something about ¨the lgend of spyro¨ in the page of spyro world say about why canceled the movie and if they gonna creatt the new game , maybe because activition are tired of creating spyro games, maybe they could not know how to create a story for the new game, and also cardigan Kneubuhl not sing for the music of the credits but that dude cantact the associate producer, Donna Woo of activisiony she answered :
Hi Neal,
Thank you for your Interest in the Future of Spyro. It is exciting to see That There are so many fans Out There.
Unfortunately, I am Unable to comment on your questions at this time.
Thanks,

So Basically, we are no closer now to Knowing about the future of Spyro Than We Were over a year and a half ago.
Now, on to my personal geek Spyro hype / rumor-mongering. There are two quotes Regarding Recent titles Activision That May Have NOTHING TO DO WITH SPYRO! However, I'll post them anyways - Because in the Midst of a Draught Spyro news, gossip is about all I can offer.
and activision word :
March 2nd, 2010
Martijn Kroon Stuiver, PR Manager of Activision Blizzard Benelux, recently sat down with Netherlands website Wii-DS. Stuvier was pushed by the interviewer from Wii-DS, who noted that the company does not have many titles coming to the Wii and DS. In response, he said:
“There’s a lot coming up, but it isn’t announced yet. I’m pretty sure you’ll be amazed by at least one specific title.”
Stuvier was then asked if an old franchise will be returning, but said nothing more than “no comment.” Obviously, that’s not much to go on, but it looks like Activision has something special in development for either the Wii or DS (or perhaps both systems).
in gametrailers say :
"On the May 14 episode of GameTrailers TV, an extensive look at Activision Blizzard’s next web-slinging title Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be shown. However, what’s more interesting to note is that they will also "premiere the first trailer for an upcoming game from a classic franchise you’ll have to see to believe."
Guys all of this is very Nuts what it´s happenin with spyro guys we have to do something to activision keep doing "the spyro legend " series they don´t can do this , man.
Regards
Leon

I read the whole thing, but I was stating my thoughts. and i got no idea about new games.
I liked this game, mainly because you could play as Cynder.
Are they going to make a new spyro game I wonder? I mean, it's been 2 years since dawn of the dragon came out, and still, there's no information about a new one...
