In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story
Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

i kinda agree with you. i liked the classics better than LoS. LoS WAS a bit repetitive (i thought DotD was a bit repetitive too), but i agree, the elements were interesting. i thought LoS was okay. the storyline was meh. YES. the characters DID sound a bit dull and boring, especially in DotD. evil cynder was my favorite character in ANB :3 i agree, i loved tall plains in ANB and valley of avalar in DotD.
thank you! i agree, i like spyro art too. different styles and stuff make it very interesting. i just don't agree with the comments, a lot of them in ember fanart are the typical cyntards going like "IMMA TROLL U BECAUSE SPYRO AND CYNDER BELONG 2GETHER 4EVER, SCREW EMBER, CYNDER CAN WHIP HER LOLOLOLOLOL" (although some cynder fans can express their opinions more polite) even though we don't know how strong ember really is because she doesn't have a backstory.

Ugh. Don't even remind me of the people on deviantART. I myself have been yelled at plenty of times simply for DRAWING Ember. And I have this neat picture of Cynder that looks like she just got flushed down a toilet, and everybody's saying "HATE ART! HATE ART!! YOU HAVE TO LIKE CYNDER OR YOU WILL DIE!" and stuff like that. Meanwhile, the "hate art" against Ember doesn't count? Ember may have been in AHT for only 5 minues, but that doesn't make her worthless. Cynder is just as worthless because she's a typical, slutty teenager. At least Ember was normal.

I've got this on ps2, and I love to turn the camera around just right, so you can see her eyelashes (cynder).
@LevanJess: In my opinion, I'm not very keen on LoS because, compared to the original Spyro games, it is just a simple button masher, just pressing a bunch of buttons over and over to defeat a ten ton of enemies in a small area, then you go to another level, and it's the exact same thing over again, the elements are interesting, but the gameplay is repetitive. Nothing is new about the storyline, it is a rehash of the Lord of the Rings, Spyro sounds so dull, pretty much like all the other characters, although I did find Cynder in ANB when she was evil to be interesting, and Sparx can be funny sometimes. I've found out that there is only one level I like from each LoS game. I also liked the battle with Cynder in ANB, but that's all. If you're interested to know, I like Tall Plains in ANB, the first level of TEN, and the Valley of Avalar in DOTD.
I do however agree with you on the second half of your post, some fans get way too obsessed with a character, and they let no other person have an opinion. I personally don't see nothing wrong in Spyro art if you get what I mean, I like it for some strange reason, I don't even understand why but I do.

I don't think Cynder was pretty, but I like to plsy as her. She was smaller in Dotd, so I didn't have to look at her YAAAAYYY!!!!

i agree! TEN was my second favorite LoS, DotD was my least. a lot of people hate TEN because it's harder because there's no cheats and it's hard and apparently repeative (same with ANB) but i thought it was great and focused a lot more on the elements (i love the chronicler's element levels).
YES! thank you! i agree completely. in tons of cartoons, i see the main characters/most females just gorgeous. it makes me mad. also about how in real life people are judged by looks. cynder HAS been through tons of crap, so she doesn't have to be beautiful. yes, it is. :3

the only complaint i have for PS2 version is that the colors were WAY too bright...
i thought cyril, ignitus, terrador, and volteer looked different in this game. they looked bloated. i liked them better in ANB and TEN.
i prefer TEN spyro over DotD too. but i prefer cynder in TEN and ANB (evil and small) more than DotD.

thank you! i agree. she was really annoying, her design looked weird (she looks better black, and she has so many spikes and blades on her that she could kill herself just by turning over in her sleep, and the bird beak, etc.), and she also has a rabid fanbase who all think she's "SOO SEXY'. not everyone in her fanbase is like that, of course, but i HAVE seen tons cynder fans flaming ember in ember fanart and stuff.

LevanJess is exactly right. I can't see why everyone thinks DotD Cynder was "SOOOOO hot." She was really annoying and whiney, and she just looked like total fail. I liked her much better in ANB and TEN. She had a more unique look to her, But here she's so....typical.

i knoow... i saw this nice picture with ember owning cynder and there's 14 pages of comments (with mine at the bottom of the 14th page :P), almost all of them are cyntards defending cynder. i wouldn't have a problem if some cynder fans kept to themselves or just posted their reply to the picture nicely, but most were flame comments to the artist because he simply stated facts about ember and his opinion about cynder.
and i agree! i see hate art with ember, and i don't see it getting flamed, only cynbrats going like "HAHAHA!!!! GO CYNDER, U SUCK EMBER1!"
i agree, and one of the best things is that she has no backstory, so you can make one up. heck, she can be stronger than cynder for all we know! true...
