In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story
Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

I like the Ps2 version, the graphics were great!!! The music was beutiful!!!

I didn't like the DS version
i love this game so much i finaly got every thing in it and i really should though it throught now i have nothing to play

@purplenspyro: I didn't say the overall game was rubbish, i said to probably not get it on ps2 because it has the worst quality compared to the others, you shouldn't of acted like such an arse......

I love this game, because you get to actually play another dragon besides Spyro, Cynder. Shes alot prettier in this game too, because shes older, and Spyro is pretty handsome...for Dragon standards I suppose 
I haven't beat it yet, I have a hard time beating the giant Golem beasties...but this game is pretty easy to get sucked into once you start playing, and get the hang of it. The music is fabulous too...I'm under the impression that the developers tried a little too hard to make the Legend of Spyro trilogy too much like Lord of the Rings though...not that thats a bad thing, its just a little strange...
