Developed by previously unknown (and since) companies Equinoxe/Check Six, this game, it's safe to say, was rubbish. Easily the worst Spyro game ever created. Though I might as well have this section despite that.

There's very little to the story of this game. Basically they're still celebrating the Year of the Dragon festival, but now it's time to give the baby dragons their dragonflies. However Ripto shows up, mucks up a spell and loses all of the dragonflies all over the realm. Even Sparx. It's up to Spyro to save the day again.

This game was a Ripto's Rage clone pretty much.
EGGSACTLY ( i got bored....... I think you can figure out the rest from there) summers94 i luv the insomniac games (preferably with cynder in them) But here are my ratings:
1.Insomniac Spyro ( The classics OBVIOUSLY)
2.TLoS Spyro( because Cynder is in them obviously DUH!!!!)
3.AHT an ETD( LUV AHT!!!!!!!!!!! ya know EtD is pretty great and awesome too)
4.Skylanders
And Lastly,
5.The GBA and a nintendo Spyro( They are just not the best in my opinion)

The Game Wasn't Bad As Their It's Impossible To Have A Bad Spyro Game!!!! It Was Not However The Same Level Of Pure Brilliance By Insomniac
i agree with you obsidian blaze because mine has barely any glitches and fast loading times i love it but i think the first three are the only classics in my heart I LOVE SPYRO

This game is actually fun. YES I KNOW it's outdated and has a poor story and blah blah blah, but you just gotta love the classics.
Technically, it is a seriously flawed game: sluggish controls, lack of levels, poor story and many other things but people can somehow overlook the flaws because it has sentimental value. Well it does to me.

how can you like it? i agree that the levels are well designed but 1 spyro is so slow 2 sparx sounds wierd and 3 loading takes for ages.
@TorchSheep: I quite liked the Dragonfly Dojo, Thieves Den and Jurassic Jungle's level designs, but I thought the rest was rubbish.
The 1 Reason why I love this game and can overlook it's glitches: Four Words: BEST. LEVEL. DESIGN. EVER.

But One Time, When I Was Little, I Swam In The Air In Spyro 3. 
This is the only game that allows you to swim in the air.
