The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning

Released in October 2006, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, is said to be the first of a new reset storyline and was developed by Krome Studios (PS2, XBOX, GCN, GBA) and Amaze Entertainment (DS).

Features

Action/combat orientated
New breath abilities, fury attacks, melee and aerial combo attacks
Upgradeable breath abilities
The new storyline explores Spyro's origins, all the way back to when he hatched and was raised by a family of dragonflies
Fire, Earth, Electric and Ice breaths.
The villain is a female black dragon called Cynder.
Krome Studios are taking care of the Xbox, PS2, Gamecube and GBA versions whilst Amaze Entertainment are making the DS version again.
Five bosses to fight during the game
Spyro returns to the skies
Elijah Wood as the voice of Spyro
David Spade as the voice of Sparx
Gary Oldman as the voice of Ignitus: a red dragon, the Fire Dragon Elder and Spyro's mentor.
Named enemies. A lot of creatures that Spyro attacks will have their own individual name (randomly assigned except for significant enemies such as bosses or some small creatures). You can read a complete list of all of the bits of the names, and view a Random Enemy Name Generator.

well i saw a picture on the gba screens or somethin of a map that could be the roaming screen,oh and one more bad thing about spyro and im not gonna be happy

Maybe they'll realise their mistake (Krome I mean) and make TEN harder, longer with a little bit of roaming? Maybe not the roaming but the other two are possibilities.

The new Spyro is good, but I miss the fact that you can't roam free like in the other Spyro games, and you're forced to walk in one straight level. Other than that I like the animation and graphics, and the dragons look much better in this game.

i love dis game spyro is cute and cinders mint but it was a bit to short i wanted ciynder to be his rail mum at the end

but still its mint it shold of shown spyro as a baby he wold of been sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo CUTE

i like this game.but there movment stinks eggs on the storys.the graphics rock.but spyros ugly in this one and his mouth is all shrivled up.in the old one he's cute.i like this one but the old one is way better.what happend to the old one.this is pretty cool the best new one but it would be good if they go back to the old one.if they made the game a tad harder and longer it would be the bomb.and if he was cuter.but i don't think they should have all those powers fires the originel and whats the diffrences they all hurt the bad dudes.why do they have names too your gonna kill them anyway so its a waist of time i mean cynder should have a name not like the bad guys that you kill in one shot.only a nerd would memerize the names that are hard bad guys if you memerized 2 you need to get out more.but i think that spyro 2 is the best game.and u cant play around when you finish the game.if anyone knows how to help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't like this game because I miss the good old gameplay.
Spyro is not cute in this game, that is my opinion. I hate the extreme readiness to combat. Yes, I am not a fan of action games...
