I think I know the reason why he did think to destroy the world. The chronlcher did say about the dark master (Malefor) in TEN that Malefor did master many elements and the other dragons where inpresed to hes power. He had some secret power and those powers did get hard to control... even for him. There is the reason, I guess.
but wouldn't that be wrong, because cynder is younger then him...but I guess that corrupted cynder wold be alright. But thats probably why he wonted spyro and cynder to team up with him so they could make more dragons that he can enslave! But what I don't get is that what will he do after that because he practically has no reason to destroy the world.

Aw, yes, that makes sense.
That is, if he didn't want to kill Cynder along with the world.

I think that is why he tried to make Cynder dark again near end.
How would anyone get on that new world if he killed everyone, including all the females?
He needs a female dragon with him to make more of a population if he killed everyone in the current world.
If he did save a female, I can understand, but he planned on killed everyone, I think.

wow. 0_0
but yes he thought that he could create a new world and enslave the peeps that were on it.

well ikow this isnt physically correct but i think people were supposed to assume malefor was all powerful and could just kinda take the explosion and then he could create things or enslave the creaturrs that might have possibly survived? i dont know. i like to believe the eggs come from females and females alone like chickens (omg i just related dragons to chickens) so all he would need is cynder. i think.
yes you are right, but there must be a reason to every thing, because they wouldn't just say that he wonted the world to end and thats it. he must of dune it for a reason.
well I think that it is pointless to do so.
A. what would he do afterwards?
B. if he was the only living thing on the planet wouldn't he get bored just doing nothing.
and C. after growing such an age he would not be around and there would be nothing at all

he thought that cos he was so powerful, he would live and use his mana to create a whole new world - under his power. But he would kill everything else (so there would be only one dragon, him.)
well you see truSPYRO, malefor decided to destroy the world because he thought it was the purple dragons destiny, and so that he could make a world of his own...something like that. But you can go on spyrowiki to help you find it out.
I agree with you.
Why would Malefor want to destroy the world if he would die too.
