In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story
Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

In DotD when Spyro and Cynder were in the Catacombs, the Chronicler said Spyro was a rare purple dragon and could master more than one element and he said to Cynder that by being corrupted she was able to master more than one element as well.
Uh, Cynder only learned 4 elements because she was corrupted by Malefor... She was likely going to be a wind dragon because her other elements dark.

oh i meant she was more black before. 
i think cynder was purple before, cause if u notice in the other legend games cynder is not really black she more of a purplish color.

um... no. not ALL dragons born in the temple were purple, cos a purple dragon is only born every ten generations. that's why ignitus chose only spyro to save; he knew it was his "destiny" to save the world. cynder is a rare black dragon, who can also learn four elements, just a bit different from the ones other dragons have.

spyro and cynder were born from the same group of eggs.so dosnt that mean that cynder was originally a purple dragon until malfor corrupted her?

Thank god! That was gonna ruin everything if spyro and cynder were for real siblings. I knew their love was meant to be! Could you imagine how gross it would be if they were? Although, either way, siblings or not they're perfect for each other, as far as I can see

@Beautiful Heart Spyro and Cynder are not siblings or something like that, they're just born in the temple like all the other dragons. They are all put there for protection of all thinkable enemies. They're not safe enough with their parents.
