In the culmination of the trilogy, players find Spyro teaming up with an unlikely ally - Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most challenging mission to date. As the Dark Master's (voiced by Mark Hamill) evil envelopes the world like a plague, Spyro must fulfill his destiny and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him to stop the Dark Master in his tracks.

Story
Three long years have passed since Spyro and Cynder were trapped in the crystal, since then Malefor has unleashed his evil onto the world. In this third chapter of the epic Legend of Spyro trilogy, Spyro must fulfil his destiny and face the Dark Master. As evil spreads over the world, Spyro and Cynder must discover new abilities and unlock their true powers to defeat Malefor and stop him from destroying the world.

I wonder what element the Chronicler before Ignitus was.
He looks blue though! Its really cool too.
That was cool when he became the new Chronicler.
i always though that the chronicler was almost like a god, watching over the world and stuff. when ignitus died, i was like, freaking out cos he was my fave. i can't tell you peeps how relieved i was to see him be the next chronicler...
At the end Ignitus tell Spyro that when a dragon dies he does not truly leave the world and that his spirit still lives on.

Still havnt, but now that I know this I'll do my best to watch closely through out the game to see what EXACTLY happens.
P.s I admit, yes I havnt finished Dotd, and I have looked up videos for the end of the game, I'm such a spoiler to myself lol.

I never knew for sure either...

he becasme the chronocler becasue he was wise and nouble inough to save spyro and cynders life, so the real chronocler handed the job over to ignitus, in witch he is still searching for him and cynder. at least thats what I think. 
I mean if he's dead and all, that doesn't make any sense
