The lava slide is a mini-level in the last level (Jurassic Jungle) where you slide down a volcano that is allegedly going to erupt. It's pretty fun. =]

And yes, the whole area around the portal disappeared because the game is all glitchy. =/

may i ask what is the lava slide is? and why did the portal dissapear?is it because game so bad?

You can play GC games on the Wii, I've tried. =] I have a Gamecube, PS2 and Wii.

I don't want them to stop making games for the PS2 now the PS3 is out. I have a feeling they won't for a quite a while because the PS2 was so popular, and more people have a PS2 than PS3. They'd make more money if they sold them for both consoles. =]

We went on ETD for a laugh this morning. The entire area in Jurassic Jungle where the portal for the lava slide is disappeared, which is a shame. I like the lava slide.

lol i forgot you could play a plastation in a plastation2 well that saves you pluging in new concles and buying them!

i wish the ps2was out when spyro was out cause i bought the ps1 and played the spyro games then it changed to ps2 so i couldn't get the next game because i couldn't buy one then when i did have the money my dad talked me into getting a xbox so got two games in that and then xbox games stop and couldn't play TEN but ten two months ago i got the wii got the game just to find out a new game coming lol the trouble just two get the spyro game colection.lol (you should see the trouble when changing concles lol again)
i guess i won't buy it then cause the person could be wrong when they said you can play the gamecube on the wii that would be a waste of money and if it did work haw maney times would i ply the game lol.

It is, lol. =] And it's also the first Spyro game I ever got... but then I got Year of the Dragon and I started enjoying my Playstation 2. =D

Really spyrorockforeva, it's not worth buying. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't even count as a proper Spyro game. Mind you it was the first game to introduce the different breaths. We have to thank it for that. Other than that, it's diabolical. =/

i just found out the you can play it on the wii but you need the gamecube game not ps2 one lol i bought it for the wii and i agree not that good because of the fog oh and how long dose it take to load but still

Once, I had the floor AND the walls disappear in Jurassic Jungle, so I could only see the background thing with the clouds and that. I kept bumping into nothing when I tried to walk, because that was where the walls were, only I couldn't see them. Crazy.

There's something I absolutely DESPISE about Thieves Den. It's just... gloomy. And horrible. Mind you, the whole game is awful. =/

HOW THE HECK DID RIPTO SURVIVE FALLING IN LAVA AND BURINING TO BITS!!! the graphics are rubbish - the seaweed in Lula Island is as good as the seaweed in gateway to Glimmer!

Has anyone ever had a time when the sound of a portal carries on going no matter where you are in the level and when you are on pause, you have to leave where you are for it to stop. It is very annoying.

I know what you mean spyro madgirl. When the floor disappears, it's like anymore and you either die or you just die. It's ridiculous!
