Story

The story of Skylanders Imaginators takes place long ago when the Ancients used a mysterious power known as "Mind Magic" to create everything in Skylands. With it, they conjured into existence anything that they could imagine! However, they soon learned that in the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous, and so they sealed it away so that it could never be misused. After discovering this ancient secret, Kaos has unleashed the power of "Mind Magic" into Skylands once again - and he is using it to create an unstoppable army of Doomlanders, the likes of which have never been seen! Now it's up to Portal Masters to create Skylanders Imaginators from their own imagination and stop Kaos and his evil Doomlanders before it is too late. And to help train them, Eon is sending the greatest mystic warriors of all time - the Senseis!

Characters

For new playable characters there are 20 brand new Skylander Senseis as well as 11 former villains. Along with their element each Sensei will also have a Battle Class from a list of ten: Smasher, Knight, Ninja, Bazooker, Quickshot, Sorcerer, Brawler, Sentinel, Swashbuckler, and Bowslinger.

The first set of characters to be revealed included King Pen, Golden Queen, and Tri-Tip. Here is a table containing all of the new Skylanders, click the + to see all the known variants:

Senseis

"Sensei" is the collective name for the new set of Skylanders (the villains also function as Senseis), their Battle Class determines the types of attacks and weapons they use as well as which abilities they unlock for your Imaginators. They all have a new type of super attack called Sky-Chi that slowly fills up as you defeat enemies until it reaches a point where you can unleash it on your unsuspecting foes (quite similar to the ability Trap Masters had in the 3DS version of Trap Team).

Owning a Sensei of a particular battle class will unlock a Secret Technique for your Imaginators of the same class. As well as that they will each unlock an item and a weapon for use in customisation. Senseis will also be able to access areas known as "Sensei Elemental Realms".

Creation Crystal

Included in the Starter Pack is a Fire Creation Crystal, this allows you to create and store your very own custom Fire element Skylander. To create a Skylander of a different element you'll need to purchase a Creation Crystal of that element.

Be aware that once you select a Battle Class you can not change it on that Creation Crystal ever again. So choose carefully!

Starter Pack

In the Starter Pack you get the Water Sensei Master King Pen, the Earth Villain Golden Queen, and a Fire Creation Crystal. The portal included is identical to that of the Swap Force portal (some regions instead have a modified SuperChargers Portal without a trap slot).

There is also once again a Dark Edition of the Starter Pack, it contains three Dark variant Skylanders (King Pen, Golden Queen, and Wolfgang) and three standard Creation Crystals (Fire, Life, and Dark). The pack also comes with a Gold Imaginite Mystery Chest that unlocks some gear for your Imaginators.

And there is a "Crash Edition" that is only available on PlayStation 3 and 4, it has the same contents as the regular Starter Pack plus the Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex toys. The characters will be available in a separately sold Adventure Pack at a later date.

Platforms

The game is only appearing on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and the Wii U. That means no Wii, 3DS, or Tablet versions this year.

VV Pain-Yatta was confirmed a while back to wield a candy axe so he'll be a smasher

My guess:

Light Brawler: Luminous, Eye five or other villain.
Air Strike: Quickshooter.
Bloom Boom: Ninja
Chompy Mage: Smasher
Pit Boss: Sorcerer
Flarewolf: Bazooker
Grave Clobber: Knight
Mysticat: Sorcerer
Pain-Yatta: Bazooker
The hooded archer: Dark
Starcast: Ninja
and the remaining are a Magic Brawler and a Tech bazooker.

VVV I mean, he does hold a weapon, so he can't be a brawler. It has the apperance of a interesting Staff.

I know its a small chance, but I really hope smilie will somehow make her way to one of the last few

Ok, I agree that the Green Bowslinger "could" be a part of the dark element (the green in this image is just a little to bright for me to 100% believe it), but that doesn't explain where the Red Hooded figure should go.

@Luminous35: I hadn't thought of Pit Boss as a sorcerer, interesting. I pictured him as a brawler, like a crime lord with brass knuckles. I would like to see him as a sorcerer as we've only had two caster type characters in the franchise thus far, those being Hex and Bat Spin. Would be a nice change to have a darker themed male sorcerer, similar to a sort of "necromacer" added to the undead squad.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that Life/Bowslinger...

Maybe he isn't Life... even though it's hard to tell...

Actually, I looked up the characters in the Everything we Know forum and the hooded bowslinger is different than Pit Boss.

guys if you look closely at the blurry new character we saw a while ago and then starcast there the same so we have know about him for a while now

V It's not him. That character had a glowing eye. Plus, that doesn't fit the Color Scheme. Pit Boss is a Sorcerer.

I think Pit Boss is a bowslinger, when Bad Juju and Hood Sickle was first hinted along with a few new characters, we saw a hooded character with a bow, Pit Boss looks like it

@JacobCrab - He still fits the color criteria for Dark, and with Barbella and Aurora being from that leak first, they're all in barring some design changes that the two girls already had in places.

hello everybody this is my first time posting on darkspyro, and I'm going to make my predictions on the battle class of each of new character leaked today:

Air Strike: Bazooker
Starcast: Ninja (there is a shuriken in it's artwork)
Flarewolf: Bazooker
Boom Bloom: Ninja
Chompy Mage: Brawler (since Crash is an extra doesn't count towards the total of 31)
Aurora: definitely swashbuckler (because of previous leak)
Mysticat: Sorcerer
Pit Boss: Brawler or Quickshot
Grave Clobber: Bazooker, because if he can be in the water element then why can't he be a Bazooker

Nobody has really talked about how these new characters relate to the older "Huge Leak" we had a while back.

i.ytimg.com/vi/2JawE_YaHgk/maxresdefault.jpg

We all assumed that the Green Archer would be part of the Life element, and the character in the Red Hood would be a part of the Fire element, but this would screw up the current "3 per element plus Crash" numbers that are present now. Any thoughts on these characters from that previous "Huge Leak"?
