Spyro: A Hero's Tail

The fifth major console version of the little purple dragon has arrived. Spyro returns this time developed by the company behind such games as Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy and Crash Bash. Eurocom. They bring with them a fresh feel to the series that had been nearly completely ruined by the efforts of the last company in Enter the Dragonfly.

Spyro: A Hero's Tail is released on all three major consoles, the PS2, GameCube and Xbox. Featuring five playable characters including one brand new character, Blink the mole.

Once again the Dragon Realms are in danger, this time from a fellow dragon. Red, the evil dragon, a fallen dragon elder has placed many dark gems all over the realms in order to gain control over them. Their powers are seeping into the world and corrupting it. It's up to Spyro and friends to save the world again!

HEY! I'm new to this website. You know on heros tail there are different realms. I'm just stuck on the fourth realm with these kind of lava creatures who I hate. Do any of you ever get stuck on any of the realms? I could help. I play the game alot and know some things.

Its a good game no question, but once you go through any area and the people just kinda dissapear like in previous installments, it just seems very lonely and desolate.

I've never played this game but it does seem interesting. The introduction of the new characters makes me want to buy it. The graphics seem great as far as I'm concerned and they have solid voice actors, that gets a checkmark in my book.

I just found a glitch in this game, I used Moneybags' teleporter to go to Dragonfly Falls, and when I arrived, I fell through a hole that covered the whole area. It (after a few seconds) was fixed. But when I died, then brought back by Zoe, I fell again. But forever this time...

This one felt completly fresh, I liked how it had just one big level, and it all sort of combined into another smaller area and when you defeat the boss you go to a completly new larger area, that was nice, I liked the graphics, Spyro's design is awesome but his face looks a little strange, his voice-over had changed, but it still suited him. They brought back an old enemy from the very first Spyro game, that was fun to see. They bought back a few of the older characters, like Sgt. Byrd and the Professor, that was cool, Sparx can talk and that was good. Sometimes the gameplay can get a little boring, and the challenges can become annoying later on, all in all, a very good game, not as good as the originals. 4/5
